Champix 0.5mg/1mg (Starter Pack) contains the active ingredient varenicline that works in two different ways. It reduces cravings for nicotine like nicotine replacement therapy (e.g. patches and gum) but it also blocks the rewarding and reinforcing effects of smoking. It therefore reduces withdrawal symptoms of stopping smoking such as agitation and insomnia (difficulty in sleeping).
